Description
Shirley FEIDER is a (Dutch-Canadian) special education professional with a long-standing commitment to adult education and patient advocacy. Living herself with a chronic disease, she knows first-hand the challenges of everyday life for patients and families. For more than ten years, she served as President of ALAN – Maladies Rares, actively supporting the rare disease community in Luxembourg. Since 2022, she has been leading CAPAT asbl (Cercle des Associations de Patients) a young umbrella organization representing and advocating for patient associations in the country. Guided by its motto CONNECT – CARE – SHARE, CAPAT seeks to build bridges, strengthen collaboration, and amplify the voice of patients. Her dual perspective as both a professional and a patient makes her a unique and deeply respected advocate.
