Dr. ir. Helma Kaptein MBA (1970) has served as Professor of Healthcare Technology Implementation at the Hogeschool Rotterdam since 2021, where she leads the national research group in connecting healthcare, technology, and business to implement innovations with societal impact. She combines practice-oriented research with curriculum renewal, preparing future professionals for the healthcare transition. Alongside her academic role, she brings strategic experience as an independent advisor through Science2Change and acts as a bridge-builder in complex stakeholder networks. She has played a key role in shaping transformation agendas at Digizo.nu, a governmental initiative to speed up adaptation of digital and hybrid heath care processes.
