Description
Pharmacist by training, Flora joined the European Commission in 2006, in DG Information Society and Media (now DG CNECT). In 2012, Flora started her career in DG Health and Food (now DG Health and Food Safety, DG SANTE), leading the team on Health Technology Assessment (HTA), responsible for the development of Regulation (EU) 2021/2282 on HTA. In 2021, she was appointed Deputy Head of the Medical Devices Unit in DG SANTE, responsible for the implementation of EU legislation on medical devices, including in vitro medical devices (Regulations (EU) 2017/745 and (EU) 2017/746). Since July 2024, she has been heading the same unit. Before joining the European Commission, Flora worked as a pharmacist and at PGEU, the European Association of Pharmacists, of which she has been Secretary General for 5 years.
