The creative Industries are to be understood as a value chain that can be divided by function into creators, enablers and those that do both (hybrid). The function of a creator is to develop products and services that are generative of intellectual property (Design, Trademark, Copyright). Enablers are those that support creators in their job by providing resources or supporting the distribution of the output of creators. Traditionally, the creative industries are also divided into sub-sectors.

For the sake of simplicity, we have divided the Creative Industry sub-sectors, on a first level, into the following core groups (find the definitions here):
  • Crafts and Manufacturing
  • Design
  • Film and Audio Visual
  • Coding and Software Development
  • Interactive Media and Gaming
  • Literature
  • Music Industry
  • Performing Arts
  • Visual Arts and Photography
  • Publishing and broadcasting
  • Marketing, Communication and Events
The remaining sub-sectors we list, such as retail, backoffice, education, physical spaces, research, funding, and promotion are presumed to be enablers of the Creative Industries.

To provide more granularity when searching the online community for collaborators we also allow the users to select a second level of specificity when registering their profile.

Be advised that for you to be able to invoice for your work you need to follow the legal requirements of Luxembourg.
