The number, complexity, and severity of humanitarian emergencies are increasing each year, posing significant challenges to the humanitarian system. The simultaneous impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, persistent conflicts, and climate change-related disasters, along with the accompanying surge in operational costs, commodity prices, and inflation, continue to exacerbate the number of people with unmet humanitarian needs. Now more than ever, there is an urgent need for innovative and effective solutions to respond to the needs of impacted communities.
Humanitarian Innovation Accelerator Programme, a programme by the WFP Innovation Accelerator, powered by the Government of Luxembourg and the Austrian Development Agency, aims to support technology-powered solutions addressing pressing global challenges faced in the humanitarian space.
We invite you to attend the Humanitarian Innovation Pitch Event to see 16 selected cutting-edge start-ups and social entrepreneurs participating in the programme, who will pitch live in front of potential funders, government officials, and industry leaders. This event will be joined by Franz Fayot, Luxembourg Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, as well as other key humanitarian actors , donors, and leaders in the private sector.
