Description

Alain Dirkes joined the Directorate of Defence of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in 2019. He currently holds a programme manager’s position within the Luxembourgish Defence Space office where he is primarily in charge of the development of Satellite Communications and Space Situational Awareness programmes. Prior to joining the Directorate of Defence he worked in academia in the field of computational physics. Mr. Dirkes holds a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree from Luxembourg University, a Master’s degree in Physics from Saarland University (Fed. Rep. of Germany) and PhD in Physics from Frankfurt University (Fed. Rep. of Germany).
